The Women's Leadership Board holds biannual Board Meetings on the Harvard University campus in May and November. These meetings are designed to inform members of current programs and research being undertaken at Harvard University concerning the advancement of women and girls globally, to provide for interaction with current and future emerging women leaders and to enhance awareness of related work undertaken by WLB members in their individual arenas.
The Annual Women's Leadership Board Blue Ribbon of Peace Award
The Women's Leadership Board Blue Ribbon of Peace is presented each year at the Fall Board Meeting and is made possible by Cristina de Manuel of Spain. The award is given to individuals or organizations that have made a significant contribution to peace building through innovative strategies that promote women's leadership in peace processes - whether locally, nationally, or internationally. Award recipients may have participated in any stage of a conflict: prevention, negotiations during the conflict, or post-conflict. This award is non-political, non-partisan and recognizes women's roles in advancing peace whether in leadership positions or behind the scenes.
