Experience: Ellen McLaughlin recently retired from her role as senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston (the Bank), a $60 billion government-sponsored enterprise that supports the residential-mortgage and community-development lending activities of its 460 member financial institutions throughout New England. During her 20-year tenure at the Bank, McLaughlin provided legal counsel to senior management and helped to inform the ongoing development of the Bank’s affordable housing and community development initiatives. McLaughlin received a JD from Suffolk University Law School and an LLM in banking law studies from Boston University School of Law. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and resides in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
