Women and Public Policy Program
The Women and Public Policy Program (WAPPP) is the essential strategic partner of the Women's Leadership Board within the Harvard Kennedy School. WAPPP is one of the school's nine major research and policy centers and is focussed exclusively on issues and initiatives advancing women around the world. The WLB is the original and sustaining donor to WAPPP and collaborates extensively on programs for faculty and students.
Other Harvard Kennedy School Research Centers
The WLB also has collaborated on projects within other parts of the Harvard Kennedy School.
The Center for Public Leadership focuses on the teaching and research related to improving the quality of leaders in the public sector around the world. Together with WAPPP, the WLB has sponsored a major research conference on Women and Leadership with the Center for Public Leadership and assisted with the underwriting of the volume that emerged from its proceedings. The WLB has also provided support for Center for Public Leadership faculty research.
The Center for International Development is a Harvard University-wide Center based at the Harvard Kennedy School which researches issues of economic and political development in underdeveloped countries. Non-Harvard Organizations
The Women's Leadership Board has an ongoing relationship with the Council of Women World Leaders, the independent NGO comprised of current and former female leaders of state and government which was originally launched at Harvard University. The WLB works with the Council of Women World Leaders to provide high-level summer fellowships for Harvard Kennedy School students with prominent women leaders.
The WLB also has informal working partnerships with the LEAD Program of the American University of Cairo and the Jordan River Foundation of Her Majesty, Queen Rania al Abdulla of Jordan. These partnerships revolve around specific projects and student sponsorships undertaken with joint agreement.
